A regret- I wish I had sex with the MANY good looking guys that cruised me at the bars back in 1995- the would stand next to me and lean into me and lean forward to try to catch my glance. Sometimes the guy on my left and the guy on my right would be doing this type of cruising towards me at the same time. I never really cashed in on my so called curb appeal back then. I found it far too difficult to start a conversation with anyone back then. Now if I walked into a gay bar I would be completely invisible so those opportunities are LONG gone.

The political theater comes a week before the May 2 start of early voting in Virginia’s primaries and only days after Reid's only Republican opponent dropped out.

The Tumblr account, which was first reported by The Richmonder, was active Friday morning but was deleted by that afternoon. The webpage had reposted photos of naked men, according to The Richmonder.

“The Governor was made aware late Thursday of the disturbing online content,” according to a statement released by a political group affiliated with Youngkin. “Friday morning, in a call with Mr. Reid, the Governor asked him to step down as the Lt. Governor nominee.”

In a video statement, Reid said he did not own the account. He also said his worst fear had been that someone would manufacture lies about him because of his sexuality.

F.B.I. Director Kash Patel said on Friday that agents had arrested a county judge in Milwaukee on charges of obstructing immigration enforcement. A spokesman for the U.S. Marshals confirmed the arrest of a sitting judge, a major escalation in the Trump administration’s battle with local authorities over deportations.

The bureau arrested Judge Hannah Dugan on suspicion that she “intentionally misdirected federal agents away from” an immigrant being pursued by federal authorities, Mr. Patel wrote on social media. He later deleted the post for reasons that were not immediately clear. An F.B.I. spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The entire first season dropped today. I was looking forward to it but I’m afraid it’s sort of awful. And I liked Amy Sherman-Palladino’s other shows.

Some really bad casting in this one, especially Luke Kirby who, although easy on the eyes, wildly gesticulates and spits out his lines like he’s in a Broadway musical. Which is totally wrong to play someone who is the high powered managing director of a prestigious NYC ballet company. Charlotte Gainsbourg as his Parisian counterpart at least looks right but flails about in her scenes and looks utterly lost. Camille Cottin apparently couldn’t play the role because the strikes messed up her schedule and I suspect she would have been far better. She ended up dodging a bullet, though, so good for her. DL theatre threads favorite Robbie Fairchild is quite likeable. French actress Lou de Laâge is by far the best thing in it but her character is patently ridiculous..Everything is frenetically paced and the dialogue is stilted and self-conscious. The relentlessly smart-ass Steadicam shots may have worked on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel but they don’t work here. Mon dieu.

Anyone else watching this DOA disaster?

This dreary, almost hypnagogic slasher flick was shot on location in Portland, OR in 1981 at the historic Pittock Mansion, and follows three female college students who crash their car in the woods and are taken in by a spinster and her elderly misandrist mother. It was scantly released in the US, but did get a theatrical release in England. It is awful in so many ways, but the performances from the two older women are high camp—almost John Waters-esque. It also features a memorable synth score and a twist ending that is so unexpected and bizarre that you have to see it to believe it. I won't spoil it, but it DEFINITELY could not be made today. Any fans?

A new private membership club in Washington, D.C., co-founded by Donald Trump Jr., is charging a $500,000 membership fee — and there’s already a waiting list.

The club, called Executive Branch, held a launch party on Saturday night that included at least a half dozen members of President Donald Trump’s administration as well as wealthy CEOs, tech founders and policy experts, according to people familiar with the club who declined to be named speaking about it publicly.

Executive Branch was founded by Donald Trump Jr., along with Omeed Malik and Christopher Buskirk of 1789 Capital, the investment firm that made Trump Jr. a partner last year. Other founders include Alex Witkoff and Zach Witkoff, the sons of billionaire real estate developer Steve Witkoff, a longtime friend of the President’s and the current Middle East envoy.

Founding members include White House crypto czar David Sacks, crypto investors Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss and tech investor Chamath Palihapitiya, the people familiar told CNBC.

In addition to the $500,000 membership fee, the club will charge annual dues, which have yet to be disclosed.

Executive Branch will open sometime in the next month or so at a location in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., those people said.

It had been sitting on my shelf for two decades without my opening it. Suddenly I got the urge.

First I was WAY handsomer than I ever thought at the time. Reading my classmates’ notes to me brought back so many nostalgic feelings. High school was a fun and cool time. I suddenly became popular when, in the summer after 10th grade, I got contact lenses, a short, neat haircut, and shaved my scraggly mustache. No one recognized me when I started 11th grade, and, after that, I got noticed and became popular. I went from perceived weirdo to center of attention, and I blossomed. I made so many friends because I was friendly—and as weird as that sounds—kids not in the central groups loved me because I acknowledged them. Kids who started at our high school in the middle of the four years were thankful that I served as a bridge to the rest of the students. I had honestly forgotten all of this until reading the yearbook notes. I wasn’t out, of course, and that was the invisible barrier between me and everyone else. I’ve only stayed in touch with two of my high school friends—and just barely, losing touch as time marches on. I’m on a Facebook page with my classmates, and it’s sad to see some dying. What’s worse is I don’t remember many of them!

I googled the guys who were considered the dreamiest in high school. Yikes! Time can be cruel, especially to straight men. Thankfully I still look 20!

Actress Donna Mills, 84, sat down for an interview, and after 36 years of leaving 'Knots Landing' in 1989, the actress has finally 'broken her silence' on why she left the series after a decade. She thought the writers weren't writing her character very well at that point, and that's why she left.

Mills said, "You pretty much rely on the writers, and it's actually one of the reasons I left when I did."

She continued, "I just didn't think the writers at that time…eight, nine years of creating this character, for the writers, it got to be 'Oh god, what are we gonna do with her next?' and I felt like they'd kind of run out. I didn't want to see the character go downhill. And that's why I left. I wanted to go out with Abby at the top when she's at her best. I don't want to see her go downhill, so that was why I left the show. It all hinged on the writing."

Mills did praise the writers who were creating the show "at the beginning." She thought they "were fabulous," but by her ninth season, she thought the quality had gone way down, and she would never have left otherwise.

"If I felt that, you know, either they were getting new writers or they had some wonderful ideas, I would've stayed. It wasn't about money…I loved that character and I didn't want her to kind of fritter away," said Mills.

And all these years, she actually had us believing it was because she wanted to expand in her career, and become a producer and director of television films. Liar !

Kenneth Caillat and Steven Stiefel, co-authors of the memoir Making Rumours: The Inside Story of the Classic Fleetwood Mac Album, have filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against playwright David Adjmi, along with the producers of Stereophonic. The plaintiffs claim that the Tony Award-winning play is an unauthorized adaptation of their copyrighted memoir.

According to the lawsuit, Stereophonic has grossed over $20 million since opening in April 2024 and was promoted as "The Most Tony-Nominated Play of All Time," winning five Tony Awards, including Best Play. The plaintiffs allege that the show’s success was built on material taken from their memoir without permission, asserting that Stereophonic is "substantially similar" to Making Rumours.

A 2-year-old boy who spent the night alone in the remote Arizona wilderness and walked 7 miles through mountain lion territory was led to safety by a rancher's dog, authorities said Tuesday.

A huge search operation was launched when the boy disappeared from his home in Seligman, Arizona, about 100 miles south of Grand Canyon National Park, at about 5 p.m. Monday. He was wearing just a blue tank top and pajama pants, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said.

But 16 hours after he went missing, rancher Scotty Dunton found him on his land 7 miles away. The boy was safe and well and had apparently been led to his property by the rancher's dog, Buford.

Pre-heat air fryer to 400.

Lightly brush English Muffin with melted butter or spritz with oil to make it golden all over. I used melted butter.

Air fry for 3-4 minutes.

It was perfectly brown and crisp all over and delicious. I could have skipped adding more butter when it was done but I didn't. I also added Smuckers Blackberry jam. Highly recommend buttering before toasting.

Some of the storylines were not very good. I hated how they just dumped DJ's character. And wrapping up Beverly Harris' storyline has to be one of the weirdest things I've ever seen on TV.

But it had its moments. Alicia Goranson is a first-rate comedienne, and I hope she gets more work after this.

A continuation thread for our nattering about Britain's favourite soap.

Loosely based on an actual 1981 murder case, the film stars Crispin Glover, Keanu Reeves, Ione Skye, Daniel Roebuck, and Dennis Hopper. It focuses on a group of disaffected northern California teenagers who become embroiled in a crime when the girlfriend of one of their classmates is found murdered on a riverbank. Often cited as an example of nihilistic youth-oriented cinema, it has been cited as one of the darkest teen films ever made and I think served as a progenitor for films like Harmony Korine's "Kids" (1995), among others. I think it is a minor masterpiece, but it's not a pleasant watch.

A growing number of Americans are using buy now, pay later loans to buy groceries, and more people are paying those bills late, according to new Lending Tree data released Friday.

The figures are the latest indicator that some consumers are cracking under the pressure of an uncertain economy and are having trouble affording essentials such as groceries as they contend with persistent inflation, high interest rates and concerns around tariffs.

In a survey conducted April 2-3 of 2,000 U.S. consumers ages 18 to 79, around half reported having used buy now, pay later services. Of those consumers, 25% of respondents said they were using BNPL loans to buy groceries, up from 14% in 2024 and 21% in 2023, the firm said.

Meanwhile, 41% of respondents said they made a late payment on a BNPL loan in the past year, up from 34% in the year prior, the survey found.

Lending Tree’s chief consumer finance analyst, Matt Schulz, said that of those respondents who said they paid a BNPL bill late, most said it was by no more than a week or so.

“A lot of people are struggling and looking for ways to extend their budget,” Schulz said. “Inflation is still a problem. Interest rates are still really high. There’s a lot of uncertainty around tariffs and other economic issues, and it’s all going to add up to a lot of people looking for ways to extend their budget however they can.”

“For an awful lot of people, that’s going to mean leaning on buy now, pay later loans, for better or for worse,” he said.

The National Theatre has announced a return to repertory theatre for the first time since 2020.

The venue will make use of its design to stage multiple productions in its Lyttelton space concurrently in 2027.

Paul Mescal (A Streetcar Named Desire) will appear in two 20th-century plays as part of the season. He will star in Tom Murphy’s A Whistle in the Dark, directed by Caitríona McLaughlin (Translations), in a co-production with the Abbey Theatre. The production will later transfer to the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

Mescal will also perform in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman in the role of Biff, directed by Rebecca Frecknall. Frecknall and Mescal previously collaborated on the award-winning A Streetcar Named Desire at the Almeida Theatre, in the West End and in New York.

Although set in different locations and cultural contexts, both plays explore themes including family conflict, identity, and social expectation.

Buffy Sainte-Marie's Order of Canada has been terminated, nearly three decades after she was appointed in 1997.

The federal government's official publication posted the notice Friday evening, indicating that Governor General Mary Simon ordered the termination of Sainte-Marie's appointment on Jan. 3.

The National Post first published the story.

Sainte-Marie is only the ninth person to be expelled from the Order of Canada in its more than 50-year history, the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General confirmed.

The announcement comes more than a year after an investigation from CBC's The Fifth Estate reported that her claims of Indigenous ancestry were inconsistent with publicly available documents.

The investigation, from Oct. 27, 2023, found Sainte-Marie's birth certificate, which says she was born in 1941 in Massachusetts. The document lists the baby and parents as white and includes a signature of an attending physician — information CBC says is corroborated by Sainte-Marie's marriage certificate, a life insurance policy and the United States census.

In November 2023, Sainte-Marie said the story by CBC's The Fifth Estate was full of mistakes and omissions. At the time, in her first public statement since it was published, Sainte-Marie called the story an attack on her character, life and legacy.

"Being an 'Indian' has little to do with sperm tracking and colonial record keeping: it has to do with community, culture, knowledge, teachings, who claims you, who you love, who loves you and who's your family," said Sainte-Marie, in a written statement to The Canadian Press.

Chuck Thompson, a CBC spokesperson, defended the broadcaster and the story, saying the evidence was fairly presented.

The Office of the Secretary to the Governor General said in a statement on Friday it does not comment on the specifics of termination cases.

However, conviction for a criminal offence and conduct that may undermine the integrity of the order are reasons the Advisory Council for the Order of Canada may recommend the termination of an appointment, according to its policy.

Any Canadian can file a request to drop someone from the Order of Canada. If the deputy secretary of honours at Rideau Hall concludes that there may be reasonable grounds for revoking the honour, the complaint is sent to the advisory council, which makes a recommendation to the Governor General. The process can take more than a year.

Chinese e-tailer Temu has started adding “import charges” of about 145% in response to President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

The fees, which began cropping up over the weekend after price hikes went into effect on Friday, cost more than the individual products consumers are buying and can more than double the price of a typical order.

For example, a summer dress sold on Temu for $18.47 will cost $44.68 after $26.21 in import charges are added to the bill, a 142% surcharge, a CNBC analysis shows. A child’s bathing suit priced at $12.44 will cost shoppers $31.12 when the $18.68 import charge is taken into account, a staggering 150% fee. A handheld vacuum cleaner listed at $16.93 now costs $40.11 when factoring in an import charge of $21.68, which is a roughly 137% markup.

“Items imported into the U.S. may be subject to import charges. These charges cover all customs-related processes and costs, including import fees paid to customs authorities on your behalf,” Temu explains on its website. “The amount listed may not represent the actual amount paid to customs authorities.”

Representatives from Temu didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Rival discount retailer Shein has also hiked prices on its site, but it doesn’t appear to be implementing import charges. The company added a banner at checkout that states, “Tariffs are included in the price you pay. You’ll never have to pay extra at delivery.”

The Wikipedia articles you use to do research and find basic info on your favorite games might include propaganda. At least, according to Ed Martin, acting attorney for the District of Columbia.

Last week, a letter from Martin sent to the Wikimedia Foundation, which oversees Wikipedia, was obtained by The Free Press . The letter includes a flurry of accusations against Wikipedia, with Martin claiming that the Wikimedia Foundation is "allowing foreign actors to manipulate information and spread propaganda to the American public."

The letter effectively serves as a warning to the Wikimedia Foundation that Martin is taking aim at its Section 501(c)(3) status, meaning he's threatening to attempt to revoke the Wikimedia Foundation's status as a tax exempt non-profit charitable organization.

Martin's letter is just the latest in a slew of similar attacks against individuals, organizations, and publications that voice opinions or viewpoints contrary to those of Martin and the Trump administration.

Martin recently penned similar letters threatening Democratic lawmakers , a scientific journal for chest doctors , and even seemingly anyone who criticizes the Department of Government Efficiency (which, to be clear, is not a legitimate department of the U.S. government, those can only be established or dissolved by Congress , not executive order).

As The Free Press points out, it's unusual for an attorney to be launching an investigation into an organization's tax exempt status since that falls under the domain of the IRS, which itself has threatened to revoke the tax-exempt status of Harvard over its refusal to comply with federal demands for its curriculum and handling of pro-Palestinian protestors on campus.

Organizations have to meet strict criteria to get Section 501(c)(3) status, including a rule that an organization "may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates." The IRS's requirements also limit how much political and lobbying activity a Section 501(c)(3) organization can participate in.

The Wikimedia Foundation is not a political organization. It describes itself as "a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual content, and to providing the full content of these wiki-based projects to the public free of charge."

The content of Wikipedia pages is verified and overseen by some 260,000 volunteers from around the world who edit content based on Wikipedia's core content policies. While Wikipedia's editors don't always catch inaccurate information, multiple studies have shown that Wikipedia pages are more accurate than they're often given credit for.

Of course, Wikipedia has been a battleground for political skirmishes over the years, with editors of differing ideologies dueling over the presentation of public figures and historical events, but the Wikimedia Foundation itself is not inherently political. If there was genuine concern about the Wikimedia Foundation violating Section 501(c)(3) requirements, that investigation should be handled by the IRS, not Ed Martin.

25 years ago this Spring, Arthur Fogel, head of concert promotions for TNA/SFX (now Live Nation Entertainment), was struggling to get an already announced 'Diana Ross and the Supremes Reunion Tour' on the road for 29 dates that summer, but there was a major problem - Ross' former Supremes weren't interested in touring with her. As a matter of fact, Cindy Birdsong and Mary Wilson were so insulted by the final offer from Fogel ($4M for Wilson, $2M for Birdsong while Ross was reportedly offered $15M), they dropped out a few months before the tour was to start. Ross did little to smooth it out (she officially said negotiations were not a 'group' effort, but individual efforts between each singer and Fogel), but forged ahead looking for two women to back her up.

Of all the women who could say they were officially a 'Supreme' (Ross left in 1969 to kick off her solo career in January, 1970 and there was a rotation of 'Supremes' until they officially disbanded and retired the name in 1977), two were finally hired to back up Ross on the tour: Lynda Laurence and Scherrie Payne who never performed with Ross. Because of this seismic shift, the title of the tour dropped 'Reunion' and retitled it 'Return to Love' tour.

An official 'major press announcement' was made on April 4, 2000 and Ross, Payne, and Laurence hit the talk shows to publicize it right after. There was even a 'VH1 Divas Live: A Tribute to Diana Ross' special in mid-April to promote the heavily-invested upcoming tour. Tickets went on sale immediately, as the tour dates were unveiled and it was to kick off on June 14, 2000 in Philadelphia and tour for 29 dates throughout the summer. It was being billed as one of the most anticipated 'music events' of the summer.

By the end of May, reality set in: no one wanted to see a 'reunion tour' without the three surviving Supremes from the 60s. Tickets were not selling. Fogel grew worried. The numbers from the box offices all over America weren't good. To top it off, Mary Wilson was giving interviews as to why she didn't join the tour, and her responses to answers were not nice - she said how she was 'disrespected' during negotiations, and she was 'mistreated' by the promoters.

Philadelphia sold 9,000 of the 13,000 seats available. Columbus Ohio sold 3,000 out of 13,000 seats on June20. Tampa sold 5,000 out of 15,000 seats. The tour was averaging 5,000 - 8,000 seats per night when the venues could fit 10,000 - 20,000 fans. Reviews were pretty harsh. As one critic said, "It would be like Paul McCartney teaming up with three male singers he never performed with before, and calling it a 'Beatles Reunion' tour.

Looksmaxxing is a term originating on male incel message boards in the 2010s, referring to a process of maximizing one’s own physical attractiveness.

Additional features checked for include hollow cheeks and a defined jawline. In order to achieve these features, some perform acts such as the aforementioned "mewing", rubbing against the orbital area, or even getting surgery.

Those who receive a low rating are sometimes harassed for their appearance afterwards, with some forms of harassment including suicide encouragement by use of terms as "It's over" or "ropemaxx".

Additional terms have been coined by these communities in an effort to "dominate others". These phrases include "mogging", which refers to asserting dominance over another person based on their appearance, and being "Y-pilled", which refers to one viewing themselves as more masculine than the other and is a spin on the phrase "redpilled".

Resentencing hearings will resume later this week for Erik and Lyle Menendez, who have spent 35 years in prison for the 1989 murders of their parents.

The second day of the Aaron Thomas trial focused on the defense's cross-examination of a key witness in the case against the former North Kingstown coach.

The former student, whom the judge asked not to be publicly identified, reiterated his earlier testimony that Thomas became visibly aroused after conducting a so-called naked fat test when the student was 15 years old.

"Aside from seeing the outline of his pants in his crotch area, what other fact or detail can you give us to indicate why you're telling us the coach had an erection?" defense attorney John Calcagni asked.

Thomas is charged with one count of second-degree child molestation and one count of sexual assault.

Thomas's team says the tests were meant to help the athletes gain a competitive advantage.

Well folks, there’s number three. It was announced on X today.

Frasier is my favorite sitcom, if not show, of all time. I can't think of a show that had so much talent and well written dialogue. The cast was perfect, with David Hyde Pierce and John Mahoney stealing the show.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” star and judge of “Drag Race: Philippines,” Jiggly Caliente, has died. She was 44. Caliente had been suffering from complications due to a severe infection, and as a result, had undergone surgery, losing most of her right leg.

I'm about 4 months newly sober (not for the first time) and I just realized I haven't thrown out my wine bottle opener. Is this a bad sign?

Some background: Although I'm in my mid 50s, I'm not a lifelong drinker, having only developed a taste for alcohol in my mid 30s. I have quit a few times before on my own for longer periods of time (year and a half stints, usually), then have fallen back into heavy drinking when too many things hit me at once and it all seems so painful/overwhelming.

I don't want to go back to drinking...and it was indeed, very heavy drinking. The wine bottle opener is one of those multi-tool deals with a little knife in it, etc. I just realized this morning it's sitting in my drawer. I don't have wine glasses per se (I used to use a regular small juice glass when drinking) so there's nothing to throw out there. I haven't had any thoughts in my head about "when I drink again..." etc.

Should I be worried that I didn't think to throw that out? I also wonder if there is a workbook or something I could use to work through some of my bad coping habits for when (not if) the shit hits the fan again so I don't fall back into a vat of wine. I have gone to AA in the past and it's just not my thing (although I don't begrudge others their patronage and use of it) and it has been helpful to be at times. I've considered trying therapy again, but there's so much to cover there. Anybody have any useful workbooks or thoughts about how to tackle/target poor coping methods that cause a person to think "oh, i'll just start drinking again and stop thinking about the pain"?

I'll probably get crucified for this post, told to get a blog, someone will say they love drinking and don't want to be sober, etc. But on the off chance somebody has something useful to offer (besides suggested I give AA another try - believe me, I've been to my fair share of meetings everywhere over the years and it's just not for me), I'm throwing it out there.

Comedian Amber Ruffin will no longer headline the 2025 White House Correspondents Association dinner, WHCA president Eugene Daniels told members on Saturday.

Stalag 17 is mostly stage bound in a WWII prison barracks, but Billy Wilder's film is vividly told. In a nutshell, there’s a rat in the ranks of Stalag 17. Most of his fellow prisoners think it's William Holden’s profiteer. While the plot expertly unfolds, this play is perfect for the intimacy of film to focus on the characters. There's also some amusing subtext between some of the guys. Also, Robert Shawley is adorable as “Blondie” Peterson and William Pierson very amusing as Marko the Mailman—my gaydar went off for both! Brady Bunch star, Susan Olsen a.k.a. Cindy Brady, is looking back on filming the pilot episode of the classic sitcom -- which nearly killed her.

While appearing on the The Brady Bunch re-watch podcast, the Real Brady Bros, Olsen revealed that she almost died at age 7 after being injured filming the show's very first episode back in 1969.

"My eyes were black. I mean, I had two black eyes. My nose was swollen. My face was swollen," Olsen recalled.

Reuniting with onscreen siblings Barry Williams (Greg), Christopher Knight (Peter) and Mike Lookinland (Bobby) to rewatch The Brady Bunch's 1969 pilot episode, the actress explained that she was severely injured while having her makeup put on one day before filming.

"On the Culver lot, they were shooting something -- I would assume, in the girls' bedroom -- and I was getting body makeup on my legs," Olsen remembered. "I was standing on a makeup chair and something from the catwalk, where they keep all the lights and everything, fell."

"[The debris] hit the makeup man first, [then] off the body makeup woman, and hit me in the face," Olsen continued.

As a result, Olsen was left with severe facial swelling, which she said was visible in "some of the early publicity shots."

The Pentagon will resume gender-affirming care for transgender service members, according to a memo obtained by POLITICO, an embarrassing setback to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s efforts to restrict their participation.

The memo says the Defense Department is returning to the Biden-era medical policy for transgender service members due to a court order that struck down the restrictions as unconstitutional. A federal appeals court in California denied the department’s effort to halt the policy while its challenge is pending.

As a result, the administration is barred from removing transgender service members or restricting their medical care, which two federal judges said in March that the policy was a thinly veiled ban on transgender people that violated the Constitution.

Fresh off S1 after Teri’s Golden Globe win, Vanity Fair swooped in the ladies for this iconic front-page photoshoot, and the article in the post above is basically all the drama that happened behind the scenes. Apparently Eva and Marcia weren’t exactly thrilled with Teri getting all the spotlight, awards and the higher paycheck, so they tried to pull some strings behind the scenes to delay her wardrobe access and preventing her to stand in the center of the photo which creators usually did in promos. But when none of it worked, apparently there was huge drama with them cussing their assistants and storming off the set. And even though they rearranged the line up with moving Teri on the left, VF was not having it, so by the end they got so done that they released a folded cover. Marcia and Felicity’s photos tucked inside, while Teri, Nicolette, and Eva got the front cover, with Teri still in the center.! Over the years people also dragged Teri for being the odd one out, with PR releasing negative stories about her.. but any credible stuff or interviews people have always spoke positively of her! So, really we can all speculate, but who knows for sure!

This article was supposed to be about the show and its massive success, but ended up becoming about all the behind the scenes drama between the women. My goodness, what a shitshow.

PS I know they say Teri was the monster but Marcia and Eva come off as the problem here, angry and jealous that Teri is treated as the biggest star on the show and getting first dibs and the biggest paycheck.

I missed this when it was in limited release and just watched it this evening. I am a pretty big fan of Egoyan and also like Amanda Seyfried. Gosford Park is a DL favorite. For fun, I thought we could recast the film with ONLY ONE casting change and discuss how it would change the film.

For example, if Judi Dench had been cast as Constance besides Maggie Smith, Constance would have come off as colder and more secure. Although she is ruthless, Smith brings a warmth and insecurity that Dench couldn't bring.

Former Republican Rep. David Jolly, who has made a national name for himself as a vocal opponent of President Donald Trump, took a step Thursday toward a possible run for governor of Florida in 2026 by launching a state political committee.

Jolly, 52, also switched his no-party affiliation voter registration to Democrat on Wednesday afternoon, which would make him eligible to run statewide under the party’s ticket by next year’s qualification period in June.

The ex-Republican first told POLITICO he was weighing the decision to run to succeed Gov. Ron DeSantis in an interview last month, drawing comparisons to former Rep. Charlie Crist, the Republican-turned-independent-turned-Democrat who lost the gubernatorial race to DeSantis by 19 points in 2022.

Jolly talked about the new committee in a video he’ll be posting to social media, provided first to POLITICO, saying its goal was to “engage Florida’s voters, promote voter registration” and talk about issues like affordability, property insurance costs, “reinvesting in public education” and “fixing our broken voucher system.”

“We’ll tackle ending gun violence and so many other priorities for Florida voters,” he added.
